Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our forklift and warehouse team. This role will be responsible for managing stock processes in Sage 200, coordinating goods in/out, ensuring accurate stock records, and supporting communication between warehouse, finance, purchasing, and project managers. The candidate will also work closely with the forklift team to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of stock management processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Accept and process deliveries in Sage 200
* Operate and manage stock transactions using barcode scanners
* Assist in developing and improving warehouse processes (goods in/out, stock issues, returns, allocations)
* Check deliveries against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and quality
* Manage goods in and goods out operations efficiently
* Support stock allocations to projects and handle stock returns
* Carry out regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
* Communicate effectively with Finance, Purchasing, and Project Management teams regarding stock status and discrepancies
* Assist the forklift team in daily warehouse tasks as required
* Maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role (experience with Sage 200 is desirable)
* Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and stock management processes
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Forklift licence is desirable but not essential (training can be provided)
* Willingness to be hands-on and work as part of a team

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
