Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start (Temp to Perm)

Daily Rate: £90 - £100 Per Day

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Long Eaton this September. The role will begin on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
This school caters for children and young people aged 3–19 with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. They are proud of their nurturing, inclusive environment, where each pupil is encouraged to achieve their potential through personalised learning, therapeutic support, and a strong emphasis on life skills. The staff team is experienced, welcoming, and dedicated to making every day engaging and meaningful for the pupils.
Your role will include:
* Supporting pupils in lessons, ensuring they can access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Using communication aids and strategies to help pupils express themselves
* Encouraging independence and confidence
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, care, or youth setting)
* Is patient, adaptable, and resilient
* Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
* Is willing to learn and develop professionally
