Registered Care Home Manager
Location: Thringstone, LE67
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexibility required, including off-site on-call responsibilities, evening, night-time, and weekend visits – one weekend per 4 weeks)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Home Manager to oversee the management of a specialised Learning Disability (LD) service with 18 registered beds in Thringstone (LE67). The service is designed to provide person-centred care in a supportive and inclusive environment, focusing on independence, dignity, and individualised goals.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overall service delivery, including compliance, quality of care, resource allocation, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire their team, maintain high standards, and ensure the service delivers exceptional outcomes for the individuals we support.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with CQC and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of quality and safety.
* Lead, mentor, and support staff through effective supervision, training, and role modelling.
* Oversee care planning, assessments, and admission processes to deliver person-centred outcomes.
* Manage budgets, resources, and operational requirements of the service.
* Maintain robust health and safety standards, carrying out risk assessments and audits.
* Drive continuous improvement through staff development, appraisals, and performance management.
* Promote and uphold ethical standards, ensuring all decisions are guided by selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.
Requirements
* Essential: Level 5 Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a care setting.
* Strong knowledge of care planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Compassionate, professional, and committed to providing person-centred care.
Desirable:
* Experience within Learning Disability (LD) settings, including supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
