Cover People are working on behalf of a secondary school in South Manchester seeking a qualified Computing Teacher (QTS) to cover KS3 Computing lessons for the second half of the Autumn Term (Monday 4th November – Friday 20th December).
This is a short-term, full-time teaching role ideal for a confident and enthusiastic computing specialist with recent classroom experience. You’ll be working with well-behaved KS3 classes, supported by a collaborative department.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and well-structured Computing lessons to KS3 pupils
* Adapt teaching to meet the needs of a range of learners
* Encourage digital literacy, safe online behaviour, and basic coding skills
* Manage the classroom effectively and maintain high expectations
* Mark and assess work in line with school policies
Essential Criteria
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Specialism in Computing or ICT
* Recent experience teaching KS3 in a UK secondary school
* Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
* Right to work in the UK
