GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join schools in Barnsley. You will lead engaging lessons, manage behaviour, and support learning across various subjects as a Cover Supervisor (CS). This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators looking to support students and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular class teacher.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
* Provide assistance to students where needed and maintain classroom order.
* Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth handovers and report on student progress.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
* Previous experience working with young people in a school or educational setting is desirable.
* Confident in leading a classroom and managing behaviour.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Provide a detailed and updated CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
