An exciting opportunity has arisen at Halesowen College for a Lead Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery. In this role, you will lead and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment that provides a high-quality experience to motivated students preparing for a career in the construction trades.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment across Carpentry and Joinery programmes.
* Deliver industry-relevant topics across a range of Carpentry and Joinery programmes, including first and second fix, partitions and stairs, roofing, flooring, carpentry maintenance, and safe operation of tools and machinery.
* Support curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and ensure high standards of teaching and assessment are maintained.
* Work collaboratively across curriculum areas to ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into employment or higher-level study.
* Demonstrate a passion for the subject, strong industry knowledge, and a drive to inspire students to achieve and succeed in their chosen discipline.
