Key Responsibilities for the IT teacher role
Using a range of teaching strategies and resources including e-learning, which meet learner's needs.
Teach engaging and motivating lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Manage learner's behaviour constructively by establishing and maintaining a clear and positive framework for behaviour management, in line with the Academy's behaviour policy.
Collaborate with other members of the department, and contribute towards the development of the school's curriculum.
Required qualities for the IT teacher role:
The ideal candidate must be able to display excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude, you must also know how to use local data to evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching and to monitor the progress of those you teach. A good honors degree related to ICT and Computing will also be required for this role, accompanied with Qualified Teacher Status. You must also have a DBS (or be willing to apply for one) and show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
