Benefits Opportunity to work at one of the UK's largest FE / HE colleges Pay rate - £42,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience Belfast location Parking on campus (both free and paid depending on location) Full time hours Monday to Friday Requirements Be qualified to teach in an Institution of Further Education GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or higher, or equivalent Hold a Level 5 Qualification or above in a relevant subject Hold a teaching qualification recognised by the Department for Employment and Learning for teaching in further education Have recent experience of managing a curriculum resource (e.g. course co-ordination, people, projects Have a record of success in either teaching or curriculum management within the Hospitality & Tourism sector Have recent experience of working collaboratively and with external stakeholders Experience of innovative curriculum design/and or delivery in Hospitality & Tourism discipline Knowledge of project planning and ability to contribute both creatively and operationally to the development and implementation of those plans. Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting and compliance due to the nature of this work Responsibilities: To provide first class operational management by working in partnership with a team of dedicated staff and the Head of Department To oversee the Curriculum Hub and Sectoral Partnership To focus on industry engagement that will contribute to the enrolment targets for programmes in this curriculum area. To develop and lead on the implementation of strategies and business plans, providing staff and students across the Hospitality & Tourism the opportunities they need to be successful. To lead in the implementation of the Department's operational plan in areas covered by the Hub To develop and plan the curriculum area's portfolio in consultation with the Head of Department To have excellence in teaching and learning and the quality of the learner's classroom experience. To introduce a conference including guest speakers, demonstrations and workshops for staff engaged in the Hospitality & Tourism curriculum.
