Job Description
The Supplier Quality Engineer will;
1. Qualify new suppliers and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
2. Perform supplier audits (remote and on-site) and maintain accurate quality records.
3. Monitor supplier performance metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and certification status.
4. Drive resolution of supplier-related nonconformances and corrective actions.
5. Validate new products during NPI projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
6. Support manufacturing and quality engineering teams in supplier-related initiatives.
7. Assist in investigations involving suppliers and track complaints through completion.
8. Implement corrective actions aligned with ISO9001/AS9100 standards and customer requirements.
9. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance across all quality functions.
10. Prepare for and support customer and regulatory audits.
11. Stay current with industry best practices and share knowledge with team members.
12. Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support supplier quality activities.

The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have:
13. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
14. Internship, co-op, or 2+ years of experience in engineering or quality roles.
15. Familiarity with supplier quality processes, including qualification, auditing, and part validation.
16. Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand tolerances and specifications.
17. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
18. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
19. Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
20. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
21. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 standards and compliance requirements.
22. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
23. Professional demeanor, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.
24. Preferred: experience with quality tools (FMEA, 8D, PPAP), validation processes, and certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor or Six Sigma.
