What you'll do: Lead and supervise a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring high standards of performance, behaviour, and engagement. Support the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services, ensuring all tasks are completed to agreed standards and within required timeframes. Allocate, monitor, and close service requests, ensuring all issues are resolved efficiently. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members to maintain a skilled and capable workforce. Carry out performance reviews, provide coaching, and manage absence to support team development and productivity. Assist with payroll processes, ensuring accurate recording of hours and attendance. Monitor service performance, including quality, financial targets, and KPIs, and support action planning where needed. Manage stock, equipment, and materials, ensuring efficient use and availability at all times. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and food safety standards, including correct use of PPE and safe systems of work. Carry out regular inspections and audits, ensuring all standards and procedures are met. Investigate incidents, complaints, and feedback, identifying root causes and implementing improvements. Communicate effectively with the team through regular briefings and updates. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and efficiency. What you'll bring: Previous experience in a cleaning, facilities, or customer-facing role. Experience leading or supervising a team, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others. A proactive, hands-on approach with a “can-do” attitude. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, priorities, and team performance. Confidence using IT systems and communication tools. Understanding of Health & Safety and compliance within a cleaning or facilities environment. Ability to work flexibly to meet operational needs.
