We are currently looking for someone to join our Payroll Bureau as a Payroll Officer. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location : Coventry, CV3 3GU (Hybrid working)
Salary: £25,469 per annum / £20,672 pro rata
Hours: 30 hours
Working Days & Times: To be confirmed with the successful candidate. (Our core business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm)

The Role As a Payroll Officer, your main duties will include:
Providing an efficient computerised Payroll Service using specialist software
Monitoring and updating all records relating to PAYE including submissions using Real Time Information (RTI)
Regular liaison with HMRC, Inland Revenue and all other related governing bodies
Providing information and advice to service users in relation to PAYE, SMP, SPP and SSP when needed
Setting up new employees on the payroll service
Collating and conveying customer information relating to Tax and National Insurance Liability in line with statutory requirements
Ensuring data is stored securely in line with data protection
Skills, Experience and Qualifications - We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
Previous experience of working in a payroll and/or finance department
Ability to input and maintain accurate data records
Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent telephone manner
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines
Minimum GCSE Grade '4' or equivalent in English and Maths.
A qualification in bookkeeping, credit control entry level CIPP would be desirable
