Are you an experienced Legal Counsel with a passion for commercial and construction law? If so, we want you to be part of our dynamic legal team! In this role, you will provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts and transactions, supporting our business operations while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This position covers all Climate Solutions (Commercial & Service Europe) entities in the UK and Ireland, including sales activities for our Carrier, Viessmann, and Toshiba brands. Join us as we lead the way in climate and energy solutions, making a significant impact in key growth areas such as data centres, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
Your Responsibilities:
* Act as the main point of contact for business leaders in the UK region on all legal matters, serving as a proactive business partner and risk mitigator.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, procurement, service agreements, and NDAs.
* Provide expert advice on all aspects of commercial law affecting the business.
* Support business units on legal issues related to commercial operations, projects, and strategic initiatives.
* Manage and resolve commercial disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters, collaborating with external counsel as needed.
* Stay updated on changes in commercial legislation locally.
* Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial law and internal policies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law, ideally in an international environment.
* Experience in Industry and/or Construction is desirable; HVAC experience is a plus.
* Strong background in drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts.
* Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across functions and cultures.
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset focused on enabling business growth while managing risk.
* Willingness to travel regularly to our main office in Wimbledon (SW19 4DD).
