RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the safety and quality of the service in line with legislative requirements and charity’s policies and procedures.
2. Undertake training and development to stay updated with laws, best practices, and company policy changes, applying this knowledge to daily management and care delivery.
3. Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and field; act as lead for infection prevention and control.
4. Maintain accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements to ensure effective service operation.
5. Implement quality management and improvement systems, manage complaints and incidents, and conduct investigations to improve service quality.
6. Work flexibly to ensure the safe delivery of services.
7. Provide high-quality client service by promoting client rights, conducting initial assessments, and developing tailored care plans respecting client wishes, dignity, and privacy.
8. Agree on risk control measures to reduce risks.
9. Inform clients and their representatives about the service, expectations, and how to raise concerns.
10. Utilize excellent communication skills with clients, families, staff, and health professionals.
11. Ensure confidentiality and security of customer information.
Lead & Manage Staff
1. Recruit, induct, and train staff, ensuring adequate qualified personnel are available to meet service needs.
2. Identify training needs and ensure staff are current with best practices.
3. Manage policies related to absence, discipline, capability, and grievances.
4. Provide guidance and supervision to staff for effective and safe role execution.
5. Conduct staff appraisals and performance monitoring.
6. Handle emergency on-call issues effectively, including covering absences.
Promote Hopscotch Homecare Service
1. Represent the service positively at external meetings.
2. Participate in service growth and development.
3. Perform additional duties as required.
4. Attend all mandatory training in line with regulatory requirements.
