I’m working with a leading FMCG business looking to appoint a Supply Chain Planner / Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their growing team.
This is a key role within the supply chain function, responsible for managing demand forecasts, maintaining stock availability and coordinating closely with suppliers, logistics partners and commercial teams to ensure products are delivered in line with customer demand.
The role would suit someone with FMCG, food or retail supply chain planning experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys operating at the centre of cross-functional decision making.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and review weekly sales forecasts, working closely with commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy.
* Monitor daily orders and stock levels across 3PL warehouses to ensure stock availability and maintain agreed min/max levels.
* Track sales vs forecast performance, flagging supply risks or stock shortages early.
* Support S&OP processes, translating demand forecasts into purchase forecasts for suppliers and procurement.
* Place and manage purchase orders, tracking confirmations and maintaining planning records.
* Coordinate transport bookings and shipment documentation, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and customs compliant.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers and logistics partners to ensure stock arrives on time and cost effectively.
* Support planning for NPD launches and pack changes with internal teams and suppliers.
* Maintain planning sheets and monitor stock at risk, escalating issues where required.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning or supply chain coordination.
* Background in FMCG, food or retail supply chains.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial, procurement and logistics teams.
* Strong Excel skills and a structured approach to planning.
* Organised, proactive and able to perform well in a fast-moving environment.
