As a Teacher of A-Level Photography, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure every student achieves their full potential. You'll join a supportive and innovative team, contributing to curriculum development and the wider enhancement programme.

This role is based at Sefton Sixth Form College, a dedicated sixth form campus in Litherland that offers a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for students aged 16–18. The college is part of Hugh Baird College and is committed to academic excellence, personal development, and preparing students for their next steps, whether that's university, apprenticeships, or employment. You'll be working alongside passionate educators in a setting that values creativity, collaboration, and student success.

Key Responsibilities

* Teaching A Level Photography
* Creating engaging schemes of learning and high-quality resources
* Providing clear, constructive feedback and supporting student progress
* Using technology (including MS Teams) to enhance independent learning
* Supporting students' personal development and wellbeing
* Participating in open events, admissions, and celebrating student achievements



Criteria

* Holds a degree in Photography or a related subject
* Has a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent)
* Has successful experience teaching A Level Photography, ideally in a sixth form setting
* Is committed to high standards, innovation, and continuous professional development
* Can inspire, motivate, and support learners from diverse backgrounds
* Is confident using technology to support teaching and learning
