Admin Assistant

Contract: Fixed-term, Part-time (possibility to extend).

Salary Type: Support Staff

Salary Details: B Grade

Salary Pro-Rata: Pro Rata

Hours of Work: 16 hours per week. (Monday-Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm)

Job/Person Summary

Our friendly village primary school is looking for a new Admin Assistant to join the school office team.

The successful candidate will:

* Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with a wide range of pupils, parents and visitors to the school, both in person and on the telephone providing a friendly welcome for all
* Will be efficient, well-organised and flexible
* Be confidential and professional at all times
* Have excellent ICT skills and be able to use their own initiative
* Be able to work closely within a team and build up good relationships with staff and governors
* Preferably have experience of school office systems such as Arbor and Tucasi, although this is not essential as training will be given

Duties will include:

* Ensuring the safeguarding of our pupils through checking attendance and visitors to the school
* Answering general enquiries on the phone and in person
* Providing welfare support to the children including administering First Aid and notifying parents when children are ill
* General administrative duties as directed by the Senior Administration Officer and Head teacher.
