Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements: Minimum 2.1 BSc degree from a top tier university in Computer Science or a similar technical/scientific discipline Minimum A A B grades at A-level Commercial Data Engineering experience with a strong understanding of modern data engineering best practices Experience with Databricks; Azure experience is ideal Proficiency in SQL and technologies such as Apache Spark, Python, including PySpark and Pandas Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset Responsibilities: Work closely with front office teams to understand and define their data needs Contribute to the ongoing development and operation of the firms data platform Analyse and automate data-related processes to streamline workflows Build and maintain data pipelines from various external providers Ensure seamless integration of high-quality data into the firms core platform Curate and manage both internal and external datasets for analytical and operational support Design and implement best-practice data models and architectures Establish and enforce data standards and quality controls to maintain data integrity and reliability Technologies: Azure Databricks Support Python PySpark SQL Spark pandas Cloud More: We are a start-up Investment Management firm located in brand new Central Newcastle offices, offering a fantastic working environment with great views across the city and countryside.
