Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the advanced practice nursing team to support the gastrointestinal surgical team with the management of both elective and emergency surgical patients.
The role will deliver nursing services to acute and elective gastrointestinal surgical patients. The service is currently predominantly Monday‑Friday but may be extended to cover a 7‑day service in the future.
Position Details
* Qualified ECPs will be offered a band 7 position at 30 hours per week.
* Trainee ECPs are welcome; a full‑time (37.5 hours) band 6 post is offered with funding for the PG Cert ECP Apprenticeship course. Upon completion of the course, the role upgrades to band 7 and hours reduce to 30 hours per week.
* The service operates Monday‑Friday, with potential extension to a 7‑day shift schedule.
