Working as a member of a successful, technical team you will be involved in the deployment, administration, and support of enterprise infrastructure across multiple sites to ensure service availability and successful delivery of solutions.
You will be primarily responsible for the administration of enterprise desktop infrastructure. You will be exposed to a broad range of industry leading technology and your focus will be the management and support of key technologies including Windows, web applications, VoIP, Office 365, Personal development is key within the team and opportunities to expand skillsets are regularly available and supported.
This is a hybrid position requiring office attendance at our Worcester location twice a week. During your probationary period, or in the early stages of your apprenticeship training, you may be required to attend the office more frequently.
Key responsibilities
* Act as an initial point of contact for internal IT related support requests
* Maintain, repair & testing for internal IT Infrastructure and items required in the field including Desktop PCs and Laptops, Telephones, Peripherals and Servers as necessary
* Maintain and support network connectivity including switches and patching
* Organise and dispatch hardware and software for system upgrades
* Enforce the Open GI IT policy in line with required governance/compliance. Ensure that the standards and procedures set out within are understood and adhered to by all personnel
* Maintain accurate computerised records for all calls logged
* Respond to issues logged to appropriate SLA’s and KPI’s
* Own logged support requests until resolved or escalated to the appropriate team
* Maintain technical documentation used by Internal Infrastructure
* Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time
* Availability for on-call duties where required
* Follow change management procedures
* Be able to work flexible hours to provide necessary levels of support cover, complete projects, undertake maintenance or participate in significant support activities
* Repair & testing of hardware
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
* Full driving licence (desired)
* Proven troubleshooting skills
* Excellent phone manner
* Basic understanding of PC architecture and networks
