Overview

Training Instructor at Learning Curve Group. Location: Cardiff/Merthyr. Contract: Permanent. Hours per week: 37.50. Salary: £24,000 – £29,000.


Role Information

Our schools Provision actively supports and complements all local school curricula with young learners (14-16 years old). Our intent is to deliver outcome drive school initiatives, adding value to learner development, enhancing school performance, and supporting nationally recognised priorities. We understand that many of our learners have diverse career aspirations; therefore, we ensure that qualifications are fit for purpose and facilitate appropriate knowledge acquisition allowing schools the option of implementing 1-, 2- or 3-year qualification-based programmes.

Our Young Leaders Provision caters for Key Stage 2 (Primary School) and Key Stage 3 (Lower Secondary) assisting schools in developing their character education strategy and drives the acquisition and strengthening of values and virtues in young people. The initiative positively looks to challenge the impact of Covid, supporting personal development from lost learning, promoting the importance of school attendance through learner engagement, instilling confidence towards social interaction, embracing healthy behaviours, and adopting positive mindsets towards challenge and anxiety.

Duties

* You support learners across both provisions on in school and centre-based delivery.
* You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, across a range of level 2 qualifications to progress learners and support learner achievement.
* Deliver KS4 with a mix of academic delivery and military-style fitness to support physical and mental health; replicate this approach at KS2/KS3 to engage learners through active learning and character education for progression within educational settings.
* Develop lessons that are innovative, planned, engaging and enjoyable to maintain motivation and provide strategies to support learner engagement and stretch and challenge.
* Conduct role in line with company values and expected behaviours; act as a positive role model for learners, colleagues and peers.
* Promote healthy lifestyles and provide ongoing fitness guidance to inspire learners.
* Comply with Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies; be vigilant to concerns and act as first point of contact for safeguarding and welfare with confidentiality and professionalism.
* Ensure a 95% attainment rate of all learners; maintain timely and accurate recording and reporting of learner progression.
* Provide fun, engaging and differentiated physical training for all abilities.
* Attend parents evenings and provide feedback to parents, schools and partners as requested.
* Act as a point of contact for schools to maintain open communication for learner development/progression; safeguarding lead for all learners.
* Deliver high-quality, innovative and contextualised lessons to support engagement and learning.
* Undertake mandatory training as directed by LCG and follow educational requirements.
* Be comfortable with travel and hold a full UK driving licence.
* Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to support learner progression.
