Gear4music is a leading UK & European musical retailer. Since launching in 2003, our mission has been to make music accessible for all. We now offer over 62,000 products, serve customers in 190 countries, and operate in 15 languages and 9 currencies. In 2022, we also launched AV.com – retailing HiFi, Home Cinema, and accessories.

Responsibilities:
* Have the soft‑skills necessary to accept and provide feedback graciously.
* Drive and deliver change utilising your technical knowledge.

* Champion new technologies when it's right for the business.
Qualifications – technical skills:
* Modern PHP development skills.
* HTML5, SCSS, JavaScript (including frameworks like ReactJS and ExtJS).
* MySQL knowledge, working with large databases.
* Cloud computing and containerised applications.
* Building scalable distributed systems.
* Background in e‑commerce.
* Interest in software performance.
* Experience with Composer, Docker, GitHub, CI, PHPUnit, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, ElasticSearch, xhprof.
