Essential:
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
* Postgraduate training and certification in Sensory Integration.
* Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and learning disabilities.
* Strong knowledge of sensory integration theory and practice.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centred practice skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including standardised sensory integration assessments, to identify strengths and areas of need.
* Develop and deliver evidence-based intervention plans tailored to the sensory and functional needs of each child.
* Collaborate with families, education staff, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach.
* Provide direct therapy sessions in clinical, home, or school settings, utilising Ayres Sensory Integration principles.
* Support the development and implementation of sensory strategies and sensory diets to enhance self-regulation and engagement.
* Deliver education and training sessions to parents, carers, and school staff around sensory processing and environmental adaptations.
