This role requires a skilled Quality Engineer with a strong understanding of quality processes and standards within the industrial and manufacturing sector. The role of the Quality Engineer is to support operational execution of the site's Quality Assurance standards by monitoring live manufacturing processes, managing internal nonconformances, and driving proactive quality improvements.

Description
Attend daily value stream meetings; identify, escalate, and resolve quality concerns.
Monitor production against control plans, appearance standards, and compliance requirements.
Support Operator engagement with quality standards and drive adherence to shop floor best practices.
Manage non-conforming materials through SAP and related systems, ensuring accurate traceability, disposition, and concession handling.
Coordinate immediate containment actions for defects and escalate unresolved risks to the Quality Manager.
Lead structured root cause analysis for internal failures and customer complaints (using 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D or equivalent).
Ensure effective corrective actions are defined, implemented, and verified for closure.
Collaborate with CI Engineers and Operations to identify quality improvement initiatives.
Support Management of Change (MoC) processes for equipment, materials, and procedures from a quality perspective.
Analyse quality data trends to proactively highlight risks and opportunities for improvement.
Deliver training to Operators and Team Leaders on updated quality standards and control methods.
Support the maintenance of visual standards and quality documentation across the value stream.
Participate in internal audits (ISO 9001, BRCGS, ISO 13485) and contribute to audit readiness activities.Monday - Friday

Profile
You will ideally be an experienced Quality Engineer, with a manufacturing background, along with:
A recognised Engineering, Quality or Science qualification
Ideally, a good understanding of ISO9001 / 13485
Proficiency in quality tools and techniques (5 Whys / Fishbone / 8D / Pareto)
Confident using SAP or ERP/QMS systems for management of complaints & material
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.Job Offer
