Responsibilities You will provide professional leadership as first line manager with day to day operational management responsibility for a team or teams of staff delivering front line social work and health services within an integrated hospital discharge team, whilst ensuring high standards of practice parameters and service provision are maintained. You will ensure all statutory requirements are met in respect of The Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968, The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, The National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 and The Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002. The Individual You will have experience of working with adults/older people/or people with disabilities. You will have excellent communication skills and knowledge and experience of using Adult Support and Protection legislation. You will have experience of workload management and good organisational skills. You will have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to reflect on/analyse situations. You will have experience of working with Partner Agencies and have the ability to lead, advise, assess and respond to critical situations. You will have a commitment to ongoing effective staff support and development and the ability to work to professional standards and within local policies and procedures. You will have the ability to travel effectively in the course of duties. You will have the ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
