Senior Quantity Surveyor 60,000 to 70,000 Package Scotland Permanent | Full-Time Flexible working We're representing a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the North East. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a portfolio of civils and infrastructure projects. What You'll Be Doing: Managing the commercial function on a variety of civil engineering, infrastructure projects Preparing and submitting accurate valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Managing subcontractor procurement, orders, variations and payments Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout project lifecycle Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure financial performance aligns with project goals Producing cost/value reports, forecasts, and commercial commentary for senior management Supporting junior QS team members with mentoring and guidance What Background Will Work Well: Strong experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects - e.g. groundworks, roads, drainage, substations, renewables or utilities Proven background in quantity surveying with a principal contractor or large subcontractor Ability to work independently and commercially lead multiple projects simultaneously Solid knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts Proficient in cost reporting, forecasting, and subcontract management A degree or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (or similar) Comfortable working across pre-construction and live projects Interested?
