Senior Project Manager - (Wastewater Treatment Projects)

The Role
As Project Manager you will lead a multi‑disciplinary engineering team to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects from design through to construction, commissioning and handover. You will manage civil, building, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) scopes, programme and commercial performance, and HSQE development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of one or more projects, fostering a “one team” culture.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards on‑site.
* Instill a positive safety culture across the team.
* Collaborate closely with clients, representatives and third‑party agencies.
* Deliver projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality.
* Coordinate internal and external designers, maintain required documentation, and represent PSCS on live sites.
* Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks and white‑board meetings.
* Apply lean construction and Last Planner project management techniques.
* Monitor performance, mitigate risk and manage opportunities.
* Report monthly performance to the framework manager on programme, budget and HSQE.
* Lead procurement of supplies and sub‑contracts within budget.
* Manage cashflow and coordinate interim payment applications.
* Develop and mentor team members, setting learning plans.
* Assist with tendering for upcoming projects.
* Address client complaints promptly and analyse satisfaction surveys.
* Provide lessons learned and innovative solutions for process improvement.
* Stay current with industry standards and technologies via continuous professional development.
* Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in water and wastewater.
* Extensive knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and preferably a Managing Safely certificate.
* Experience in civil and MEICA engineering project management (concrete, pipe laying, mechanical and electrical installations).
* Level 8 Honours degree in a relevant engineering qualification.
* Ability to deliver under pressure and meet project objectives.
* Strong negotiation skills with customers, suppliers and sub‑contractors.
* Proficiency with programme management software (Microsoft Project). Able to prepare baseline programmes and updates.
* Initiative, problem‑solving and adaptability during project delivery.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
* Strong communication and motivation.
* Full driving licence.
