Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology post with NHS Grampian, primarily based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, with responsibilities at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
Responsibilities
Contribute to acute Obstetrics services within a team of 26 Consultant Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Provide comprehensive Gynaecology and maternity care, including facilitation of midwifery‑led intrapartum care. Support service and academic development and accommodate sub‑specialty interests across NHS Grampian and North of Scotland networks.
Qualifications
UK‑trained doctors must have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within six months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register at interview.
CESR or Portfolio Pathway candidates are eligible only after registration is awarded. International recognised specialists approved by GMC must have confirmed entry on the Register. Full GMC licence to practise is required before the posting starts.
Locum Consultant appointments (up to 12 months) may be considered for candidates not yet on the Register, with opportunity to pursue CESR or Portfolio Pathway registration while employed.
