Base Pay Range
£40,000 to £45,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid + 5% Matched Pension + Holiday.
Job Overview
Excellent opportunity for an experienced PHP developer comfortable with procedural programming to join a friendly and growing SaaS business. The company builds a market leading platform used across the higher education sector, rapidly expanding each year.
In this role you will work with PHP in a predominantly procedural style, focus on secure and efficient hand‑rolled solutions, and contribute to product design, usability and interface improvements. The tech stack includes PHP, JavaScript, React, MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres and Git.
The Role
* PHP backend development in a procedural style
* JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS frontend development
* MySQL, SQL Server and Postgres database work
* Git for version control and secure coding practices
The Person
* Commercial PHP development experience
* Strong with JavaScript, React, SQL and Git
* Comfortable with procedural programming
* Commutable to central Bristol three days a week
