My client, a fast-growing alternative lender & brokerage, is looking to hire a Credit Underwriter to join their expanding team in the North West.

The Role
As a Credit Underwriter, you’ll be responsible for assessing and approving business loan applications, playing a key role in supporting strong, commercially driven lending decisions.
* Assess creditworthiness of SME clients applying for business loans up to £50k.
* Analyse financial statements, bank data, and credit reports.
* Make informed lending decisions within delegated authority.
* Work closely with brokers and internal sales teams.
* Balance risk management with a commercial, deal-focused mindset.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or SME lending.
* Strong understanding of financials and risk assessment.
* Commercial mindset with sound judgement.
