Overview This position is directly responsible for the sales and development of the U.S. Specialty Business (Turf and Ornamental), to deliver the sales objectives, initiate and oversee all product development activities with university and private cooperators, and manage the day-to-day P&L of the Specialty business. Key Responsibilities Lead the Sipcam Agro sales team for Specialty products (Turf and Ornamental, Home and Garden, Pest Control Consumer Products) to achieve annual sales and profit objectives Plan and Develop business strategy, resourcing appropriately based on market trend analysis Work effectively with marketing team to develop new products and plan launches of new products Set targets for growth, participate and contribute toward the achievement of targeted customers, team and individual objectives Effectively position Sipcam Agro products and services with local, regional, national, and buying groups distribution Prepare and deliver weekly business reviews and report monthly on-targets and potential business Represent the Company at public events such as tradeshows and conferences Exceed established sales and gross margin targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Manage costs within budget and implement budgets effectively through sales team Properly prepare for and execute sales calls within targeted accounts Complete sales forecast, call reports, expense reports, win/loss reports and any other required reports not mentioned herein on a timely and accurate basis Identify, escalate and solve account related issues and problems promptly Gather data, document, format, and analyze to report customer service and other business objectives and results Effectively diagnose performance issues, set goals, review results and deal with individual performance Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Science, or Agricultural Business Experience 5 years managerial and complex distributor channel sales experience Skills & Competencies Must possess ability to lead, motivate, and influence others to exceed set objectives Excellent coaching, delegating, problem solving, and decision-making skills Demonstrated ability to diagnose performance issues, set goals, establish measurements, and confront deficiencies Proven self-starter with a strong work ethic Proven track record of over-quota performance Thorough understanding of sales methods and practices Industry-specific sales and contract negotiation experience Marketing database experience preferred Ability to work within a team-oriented environment to achieve common goals and objectives Must be customer centric and service oriented Well-developed interpersonal relationships and communication skills Excellent presentation skills PC and Internet literate including proficiency of all Microsoft Office products
