The Opportunity:
My client is looking to appoint an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join their expanding Civil Engineering team.
This is a standout opportunity for a Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer seeking more autonomy, leadership responsibility, and genuine long-term progression within a modern, fast-growing consultancy environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering high-profile residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments — leading projects from planning through to construction while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the future growth of the business.

The Role:
* Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects
* Manage drainage strategies, highways design, and infrastructure schemes
* Oversee S278 / S38 technical approvals
* Coordinate project teams and manage technical delivery
* Work closely with developers, architects, contractors, and local authorities
* Review and mentor junior engineers' designs and technical outputs
* Attend client meetings and site visits
* Prepare fee proposals and support business development activities
* Ensure projects are delivered to high quality, safety, and sustainability standards
Projects Include:

* Commercial schemes
* Mixed-use developments
* Infrastructure and highways projects
* Large-scale strategic developments
About You:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) working towards Chartership
* Degree or HND qualified in Civil Engineering
* Strong experience in highways and drainage design
* Background delivering infrastructure projects through planning and construction
* Experience managing teams and mentoring junior engineers
* Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar design software)
* Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
* Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing consultancy
