Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Fitter
Location: Eastleigh
Pay Rate: GBP13.50 - GBP15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Temp to perm Monday to Friday
We are currently seeking Trainee Mechanical Fitters to join a busy and growing manufacturing company based in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment with the potential for long-term work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the mechanical fitting of various products
* Learning to work from engineering drawings
* Using hand tools and equipment safely
* Supporting the team in meeting tight tolerances and quality standards
Requirements:
* Some basic mechanical knowledge or relevant qualifications (e.g., college course, apprenticeship, or hands-on experience)
* (example) HNC / HND / NVQ / City and guilds / BTEC Mechanical
* Willingness to learn and develop mechanical fitting skills
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* A good work ethic and attention to detail
Additional Information:
* Overtime available, paid at enhanced rates (time and a half after 8 hours/day, Saturdays at time and a half, Sundays at double time)
* Full training and supervision provided
