Infrastructure Engineer - Security Focus - Palo Alto
Hybrid role based in Birmingham, UK – 3 days office, 2 days remote.
We are partnering with a global growth group looking for an engineer with strong infrastructure experience and a solid cyber‑security background. The role is hands‑on and varied: design, maintain and secure on‑premise and Azure environments, contribute to infrastructure projects and cyber initiatives such as vulnerability management, incident response and security control enhancement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design, implement and secure hybrid infrastructure (Azure ideal).
* Operate and secure servers, networks, storage and security tools.
* Manage vulnerability scanning, incident response and remediation.
* Collaborate with group security teams to keep systems resilient.
Required skills:
* Background across servers, networks and SAN/NAS storage.
* Hands‑on experience with security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Tenable, Zscaler, etc.).
* Palo Alto deployment/configuration experience – must.
* Good understanding of firewalls, network protocols and intrusion prevention.
* Strong communicator with solid documentation skills.
Benefits: 50 k salary, 5 % pension, 5 % bonus, 25 days (rising to 30 +), health plan.
