At Woodside, we specialise in educating young people with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team and work in our wonderful school with our exceptional students and staff.
Your New Role:
We are currently seeking a SEN Science Teacher to join our team at our outdoor setting for students aged 9-19 in Warwickshire, based in Leamington Spa. This is a full-time, permanent position.
We seek a passionate individual experienced in developing children aligned with their academic and pastoral plans. The successful candidate will deliver group sessions in a specially designed base fostering a nurturing, emotionally engaging environment. Building trusting relationships and providing security to vulnerable learners are essential. Clear communication, resilience, and an advocate for outdoor learning are key qualities.
Responsibilities include supporting pupils in processing new information, understanding autism manifestations, and integrating outdoor learning into lessons.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Working Hours:
* Monday - Friday, 08:30-15:30
* Term time only, 190 contact days, plus 5 inset days
