Key Responsibilities:

1. Support tenants in managing their tenancy, assist with housing benefit claims, signpost to relevant support services, and liaise with support services as needed.
2. Conduct initial and regular assessments of service users, including risk assessment, needs analysis, and eligibility determination, taking necessary actions.
3. Work with the Nacro Housing Management Team to issue tenancies, facilitate sign-up processes, and ensure understanding and acceptance of tenancy obligations by service users.
4. Assist in ordering furniture and goods for properties.
5. Collaborate with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards, report repairs promptly, and ensure properties are suitable and safe for occupation.
6. Maximize rent collection and adhere to arrears management policies and procedures.

Professional and Technical Expertise:

1. Maintain high professional standards and service levels, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
2. Partner with the Housing Management team to meet voids and arrears targets, comply with Tenure Law, and follow housing policies and procedures.
3. Foster positive relationships with the local community, neighbors, and landlords.
4. Collaborate with internal teams such as Quality, Policy, HR, Finance, and IT to enhance service delivery.
5. May deputise for the Area Manager and lead specific portfolio responsibilities as assigned.
6. Be flexible to work across multiple areas if required.

Organisational Performance and Compliance:

1. Ensure assessments of service users, including risks and needs, are conducted and actions are taken by direct reports.
2. Ensure health & safety checks are completed, with remedial actions taken as needed.
3. Set and monitor individual and team performance targets, working within income and budget constraints.
4. Maintain accurate records and produce reports within designated timeframes.
5. Represent Nacro positively, building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
6. Adhere to safeguarding, data policies, legislation, and statutory duties, ensuring team compliance.
7. Promote equality and diversity in all responsibilities and ensure team adherence.
8. Stay informed about sector regulatory requirements and participate in audits and inspections.

Additional Requirements:

Business insurance and the use of a personal vehicle are essential for this role.
