Overview
Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Adults Community Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults within our community. As a QSW, you will work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and facilitate access to services that promote independence and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and strengths.
* Develop and implement person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users.
* Provide ongoing support and advocacy to adults and their families.
* Work closely with health and social care professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
Qualifications
* A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Experience in adult social care and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
* Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
* A commitment to continuous professional development.
