We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team at a leading manufacturing specialist in Burntisland, Scotland. In this role, you will be the go‑to person for keeping production moving, using your mechanical expertise to fix breakdowns and carry out vital planned maintenance. Working as part of a close‑knit engineering crew, you will tackle everything from hydraulics and pneumatics to conveyors and gearboxes. What You’ll Be Doing
* Getting stuck into mechanical breakdowns across the site to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Finding and fixing faults with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, and gearboxes.
* Carrying out scheduled service tasks (PPM) to make sure machinery stays reliable and safe.
* Spotting wear and tear on parts early and replacing them before they cause a breakdown.
* Making sure all work is done safely by following LOTO (lock‑off) procedures and site safety rules.
* Helping to set up and install new machinery and production equipment.
* Keeping accurate records of all the repairs and maintenance you do.
What You Need
* A time‑served Mechanical Apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification.
* Solid experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Great technical skills with conveyors, mechanical drives, and fluid power systems.
* A logical, structured approach to finding and fixing mechanical issues.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with both production and engineering teams.
