Description
Network Plus is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor industry practices, recommend new design approaches, and identify upcoming trends.
* Develop high-quality concepts, collaborate with the team on iterations and design, and seek feedback from stakeholders.
* Manage all design phases of projects, including setup, programming, design, and construction administration.
* Coordinate with internal and external teams to execute projects effectively.
* Provide technical design support to team members.
* Address and resolve issues with external parties such as clients and subcontractors.
* Represent the company in meetings with clients, including pre-design and walk-off meetings.
* Undertake site investigations and complete CDM documentation, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015.
* Maintain and update H&S files throughout project stages.
* Produce detailed design and as-laid drawings using AutoCAD, adhering to asset standards.
* Create private land notice plans as per client specifications.
* Coordinate with clients to ensure smooth project progress and provide regular updates.
* Work with project teams to ensure designs are within budget and schedule constraints.
Experience and Qualifications
* Engineering qualifications are desirable; relevant experience will be considered.
* Experience in the water industry, especially in clean and wastewater projects.
* Knowledge of engineering specifications relevant to the water industry.
* Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Competence in MS Office suite.
* Experience or willingness to learn GNSS/GPS surveying equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and manage workload across multiple projects.
* Willingness to mentor less experienced colleagues.
