Premier Autoclaves Service & Solutions is a leading provider of servicing, upgrades, supply of new and refurbished units, and after-sales support to the autoclave industry. We are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our existing team on a permanent contract of employment to manage all aspects of projects from sales handover to customer acceptance. The successful applicant will be a vital member of the organization and therefore needs to be adaptable and passionate to gain a complete understanding of the business and your role's impact within a dedicated team.
You will require a background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, strong organizational skills, and excellent commercial understanding. Our expectation is that this candidate will have a passion to learn all aspects of our projects, from specification and costing through to delivering the finished product. No job is too big or small, and working as part of a small yet dedicated team, being flexible with day-to-day tasks will enable you to flourish within the business.
Responsibilities
1. Working alongside the Projects Director for efficient management of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest quality in the most profitable manner. This includes:
2. Designing & developing specifications for autoclave systems (new, upgraded, refurbished).
3. Costing of projects.
4. Performing pre-works site surveys.
5. Producing project plans.
6. Parts ordering.
7. Striving for and achieving on-time, in-full project delivery.
8. Liaising with subcontractors to ensure resources are allocated to meet delivery dates.
9. Communicating with suppliers to ensure specifications, quality, and pricing support project success.
10. Reviewing supplier quotations.
11. Monitoring progress against project plans.
12. Holding project review meetings both in-house and on-site.
13. Managing in-house and on-site installation, commissioning, and handover.
14. Ensuring all plant is commissioned and functioning to customer satisfaction.
15. Snagging on completion.
16. Supporting sales technically in liaison with the Sales Director.
17. Assisting with management of servicing.
18. Identifying opportunities for additional work.
Required Skills
* Ability to work across multiple projects of different types.
* Capability to work within set budgets.
* Experience with purchasing, project management systems, and procedures (beneficial but not essential).
* Experience with MS Office suite.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to operate under pressure and prioritize project requirements.
* Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Strong people management skills, open to direction, and collaborative work style.
* Ability to challenge and debate issues constructively.
* Objectivity in assessing situations from multiple perspectives.
* Team player with the ability to motivate engineers and maintain a positive work environment.
