You will be owning and maintaining the applications within the IT estate. You will establish governance, assess applications and support decision making whilst reporting into the IT Operations Director.

Description
1. Manage the full life cycle of applications, from acquisition, to merging, to retirement.
2. Management of the application portfolio, including ongoing fitness-for-purpose reviews.
3. Oversee 3rd line application support.
4. Work closely with the service management team.
5. Deliver demonstrable value for public money.
6. Ensure applications align with needs and industry standards.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement upgrades and resolve issues.
8. Develop and maintain documentation for application processes and workflows.
9. Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.
10. Work closely with vendors to manage contracts and service agreements.
11. Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.
12. Support the wider technology team in delivering strategic initiatives.
13. Report directly to the IT Operations Director to support them within the project.
