Fire & Security Service Engineer – Birmingham (Field-Based)
Base Salary: £30,000–£40,000OTE: Significantly Higher
A national technical services provider is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to support customers across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. This field-based role offers strong earning potential, ongoing training, and the chance to work with a wide variety of commercial and public-sector clients.
Role Overview
You will deliver maintenance, compliance testing, fault-finding and reactive support across a range of fire and electronic security systems. The role is ideal for a multi-skilled engineer with strong diagnostic ability and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Planned preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems to UK standards
* Servicing and testing of emergency lighting
* Diagnosis and maintenance of intruder alarm systems
* Servicing, testing and optimisation of CCTV systems
* Support across access control and related equipment
* Accurate completion of digital service reports
* Participation in a structured callout rota with enhanced earnings
* Ensuring safe working practices on all sites
What You’ll Need
* Experience working on at least three of: fire, emergency lighting, intruder, CCTV, access control
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Knowledge of UK fire & security standards
* Full UK driving licence
* Electrical experience
Desirable: FIA training, ECS/CSCS, IPAF/PASMA.
