We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our Amersham Commercial Team. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up from a Senior Account Handler or Junior Account Executive role into a more client-facing, commercially focused position.
You’ll inherit an established commercial book giving you the platform to focus on relationship-led growth, developing new business, and building your own portfolio with support from a collaborative and experienced team.
This role isn’t about cold calling. It’s about building credibility, spotting opportunities, and growing through strong client relationships.
What you’ll be doing
Managing and growing a commercial portfolio
* Look after an inherited commercial book across property owners, construction, manufacturing and related risks
* Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day client queries
* Act as a trusted advisor, providing clear and practical insurance advice
Developing new business
* Identify and develop new opportunities through networking, referrals, and client relationships
* Grow the book over time, with realistic new business targets and bonus structure in place
* Attend client meetings and site visits across London and the Home Counties
Working as part of a strong team
* Collaborate closely with account handlers, insurers, and wider colleagues
* Share insight, support smooth handovers, and deliver a consistently high standard of service
* Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with FCA and Consumer Duty requirements
About you
You’re working in commercial insurance and feel ready for more responsibility, more exposure, and more opportunity to grow. You enjoy client interaction, have a commercial mindset, and want to build something of your own over time.
You’ll likely bring:
* Experience in commercial insurance (Account Handler, Junior AE, or AE level)
* Confidence speaking with clients and attending meetings
* Exposure to new business activity, even if supported or shared
* A relationship-led, professional approach
* Willingness to travel across London and the Home Counties
* CII qualifications, Acturis experience, or audio-visual insurance exposure are welcome but not essential.
Clear is an ambitious, growing insurance group where people are encouraged to take ownership of their work and develop their careers in a supportive, collaborative environment. We’re building a business with strong foundations, clear direction, and exciting opportunities for those who want to grow with us.
You’ll join teams that value professionalism, trust, and expertise, while also embracing fresh thinking and new ideas. We invest in our people, support continuous learning, and create space for individuals to progress, whether that’s deepening technical knowledge, expanding client relationships, or stepping into broader responsibilities.
As Clear continues to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, shape how we work, and build a career within a business that values long-term success, shared achievement, and strong relationships.
