Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our residents with mental health needs and neurological conditions. Ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication reminders.
* Help implement individual care plans tailored to each persons needs.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits (if applicable).
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with the people we support and colleagues.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
