SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Poole (SLD Focus) GSL Education are working in partnership with a specialist school in Poole that supports pupils aged 4–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning needs, and Autism. The school provides a highly structured, nurturing environment focused on communication, life skills, sensory learning and independence. We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant who has strong experience supporting pupils with complex needs and is passionate about making a meaningful, long-term impact. The Role Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and complex additional needs Support communication, sensory learning and life-skills based activities Assist with personal care, mobility and feeding where required (training provided if needed) Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver individualised learning plans Promote emotional regulation, engagement and independence in a safe and supportive environment The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children or young people with SLD, PMLD, or Autism Confident working with pupils who have complex communication and sensory needs Trained in personal care or willing to undertake training Patient, resilient and nurturing approach Passionate about supporting pupils to achieve small but meaningful milestones Why Join This Role?
