Role: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic (Late Shift)
Location: Bexley, DA1 5QJ
Hours: 45 hours per week, between 12:00 and 00:00, Monday to Thursday. Flexible options available: 40-hour and 26-hour per week the role to fit your needs.
Salary: between £51,685.16 and £61,283.97 per annum DOE (based on 45 hours per week)
We are looking for a skilled technician with a passion for vehicle maintenance and a commitment to high standards to join our Aftermarket team.
This hands-on HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
* Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
* Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
* Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
* Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites
* Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
* Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
* Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Ideal Candidate
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
* Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime
* Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus
