Interim Finance Manager

£45,000–£50,000

North Leicestershire – 2 days on-site (typically Tuesday and Wednesday)
We're looking for someone immediately available to step into a key Interim Finance Manager role for a leading not-for-profit and membership organisation.
The role
Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll join a small, collaborative team to provide hands-on support through a period of transition. It's a broad role covering financial controls, management reporting, payroll oversight, and mentoring junior staff, while also partnering with budget holders to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
* Managing reconciliations, journals, VAT, and audit support
* Producing management accounts and budget reviews
* Monitoring cash flow and liquidity
* Overseeing payroll with HR and the external provider
* Guiding and developing junior finance staff
* Supporting ad hoc process and system improvements
About you
You'll be an experienced accountant, comfortable in a dynamic, non-corporate environment and able to influence stakeholders at all levels. A solid understanding of VAT (including partial exemption) is important, along with the flexibility and proactive approach to make an immediate impact.
