The East Midlands Trusts, Estates, and Tax Team is led by Rahul Kotecha and supported by Marie Cooper, both Directors based in Nottingham.
About The Role
The team is seeking an experienced Managing Associate lawyer with circa 8-15 PQE to join the Trusts, Estates, and Tax team in Nottingham. The role involves progressing and supervising estate administration, including taxable and non-taxable estates, estates settled after family disputes, estates with relievable assets such as business and agricultural property, and estates with related trusts.
The candidate should have experience drafting estate planning reports and working with business and landowners.
Our team handles a range of matters for high and ultra-high net worth clients, including international, agricultural, literary, and business assets. We have specialists advising on complex mental capacity issues, cross-border estates, and agricultural matters.
This role offers professional development opportunities, high-quality instructions, supervisory responsibilities, and support for business development activities.
Your Skills And Qualifications
* Relevant previous experience with the appropriate PQE level.
* Strong commercial awareness and industry understanding.
* Membership of STEP or willingness to undertake STEP qualifications.
* Proven financial management skills and sound case management.
* Good IT skills, including case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft Office.
* Self-motivated, friendly, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to embody the firm’s values.
