Overview
We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Manager in Castleford (office based) to lead the planning and delivery of electrical projects across Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys running work properly from start to finish, keeping programmes, cost and quality aligned, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout delivery.
You’ll be backed by an established technical team and will take ownership of multiple projects, with site presence as required.

Our client is an established electrical engineering contractor with a long track record delivering LV electrical installation and control-focused solutions, particularly within critical infrastructure environments.
What You’ll Be Doing

Managing electrical projects from handover through to completion and final account
*
Building and maintaining programmes, coordinating labour and subcontractors
*
Managing procurement, materials, and supplier performance to support delivery
*
Owning client communication, progress reporting, and day-to-day problem solving
*
Producing and reviewing RAMS, overseeing permits and site compliance
*
Coordinating technical queries and supporting design and commissioning activity
*
Tracking variations, project costs and commercial risks with the wider team
*
Ensuring quality standards are met, including snagging and close-out documentation
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within electrical contracting, building services, industrial, utilities, or control-focused environments
*
Strong understanding of electrical installation delivery, site coordination and commissioning readiness
*
Confident managing programmes, budgets, and subcontractors across multiple workstreams
*
Clear, professional communicator with a structured approach to reporting and client management
*
Comfortable being office based, with regular site visits as projects require
*
Full UK driving licence
Ideally, you will also have:
*
Previous experience delivering electrical projects within the water sector (wastewater treatment preferred)
*
If not water, experience in a similarly regulated / process-led environment where controls knowledge is important, such as MEICA (or adjacent industrial/process settings)
*
Confidence working around control panels, instrumentation, commissioning activity and interface management (alongside specialist teams)
*
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
*
ECS / CSCS (preferred, depending on project requirements)
