Great opportunity to work as an Associated Development (AD) Security Lead on our prestigious contract at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: 45 hours per week – office hours with flexibility for early/late work, nights, and weekends to support the project
Salary: £25.08 per hour (£58,848.36 per annum, hourly paid)
The G4S Associated Development (AD) Security Lead at Hinkley Point C (HPC) is responsible for supporting all security operations across the HPC warehouse network, storage facilities, and wider AD locations. This role provides essential operational security oversight, ensuring that all logistics sites maintain compliance with HPC security standards and G4S protocols.
The postholder works closely with, and provides direct support to, the HPC Logistics Security Manager on all security-related matters. This includes assisting with incident responses, procedural enforcement, access control oversight, asset protection measures, and ongoing risk mitigation across logistics environments.
The AD Security Lead also delivers operational resilience for the logistics security management function, stepping in to maintain continuity of leadership and ensuring consistent security coverage during periods of high demand, absence, or critical events.
Key Responsibilities
* Forge relationships and influence behaviours on all security‑related matters for all locations.
* Identify vulnerabilities within current security arrangements and produce recommendations to mitigate against any adversarial intrusion or interference.
* Drive forward a positive security culture.
* Maintain close communications with the HPC Logistics Security Manager and the wider HPC logistics and security management.
* Educate non‑security professionals on specific threats to their assets and how to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
* Develop a positive security culture within the T1 Contracted Partners and mentor those with a key role in mitigating adversarial risk across all locations.
* Advise the T1 Contracted partners on the HPC SMR Methodology, the HPC site Security Risk Assessment Tool and the HPC Site Generic Adversarial Threat Assessment Matrix.
* Engage and collaborate with the Crime Reduction Coordinator (CRC) to ensure best security practices are identified and adopted for the protection of HPC assets.
* Conduct security assurance activities on the associated T1 contractors to ensure that security arrangements described within the Contract Partner’s Security Plan (SMP) are adhered to.
* Oversee and manage the physical security operations at all the Associated Development locations, including multiple Park and Rides and other AD office locations.
Key Skills & Competencies
* Excellent written skills – produce detailed documents including SVAs, ORs, SMPs and Security Instructions for the protection of HPC assets.
* Excellent communication skills – deliver security briefings and presentations to HPC Contracted Partners.
* Good IT skills.

Educational Requirements / Qualifications
* Level 4 Security Risk Management (preferred but not essential).
* Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor or Security Officer within the Private Security Industry or higher.
Preferred Experience
* Security professional with prior experience of large‑scale Critical National Infrastructure projects.
* Security professional with a Police or Military environment.
* Experience and understanding of Project Management.
* Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
* Previous experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (preferred but not essential).

Specific Occupational Requirements
* SIA Licence.
* Physical Intervention Qualified.
* NVQ Level 3 Management minimum target (D).
* Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting.
* UK Driving Licence.
* Produce a five‑year verifiable work history.
