Why this role exists

Renegade Urban Winery is a working winery in East London. We make our own wine on site and host people in the space where it’s made.

We’re not a hotel group or a corporate venue brand. We’re an independent, ambitious business built around wine, hospitality, community and experience.

The role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager with strong wine knowledge to join our team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and has a genuine enthusiasm for wine, service excellence, and team leadership.

You will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences, supporting daily operations, and driving revenue through effective wine service and team development.


What you’ll be responsible for;

Core responsibilities

* Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations
* Deliver exceptional guest service and implement and maintain high service standards
* Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team
* Provide confident wine recommendations and enhance guest experience
* Oversee stock control, inventory, and cost management
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations

* Is confident training and developing team members, especially around wine and service standards
* Wants to grow with a business and is excited by future progression into senior management roles
